Ellen
Looyen founded Ellen Looyen Communications
(ELC) in 1988; and for almost two decades, she
has been assisting all types of individuals
and organizations (from start-ups, franchises
and non-profits, to Wells Fargo Corporate),
differentiate and articulate the uniqueness
of their "brand" in a charismatic
and compelling way.
Always a pioneer, Ellen was
one of the first women in sales and marketing
in Corporate America. She spent most of the
late 70's and 80's distinguishing herself as
a sales and training leader at both IBM and
Xerox, where she initially developed the innovative
and charismatic branding techniques she
creatively employs in all of her work today.
Ellen has a BA in Philosophy
from Temple University in Philadelphia and extensive
experience as a branding strategist and marketing
communications expert. Her work is enthusiastically
endorsed by the best-selling, Guerrilla Marketing
author, Jay Conrad Levinson and she is featured
in C.J. Hayden's best-selling book, "Get
Clients Now", as a brochure and marketing
communications expert.
Ellen has been featured in
The San Francisco Business Times, The
East Bay Business Times and has been quoted
as a sales and marketing expert in numerous
magazines and business journals; and she is
currently working on a book about her unique
and charismatic marketing and sales techniques.
As both a branding/marketing
expert and motivating and inspiring speaker
and trainer, Ellen has a unique talent for distilling
the essence of people, products and services
to discover what's most unique and valuable
about them. She has also shown leaders, entrepreneurs
and salespeople how to access "The Charismatic
Zone of Influence" to empower their communications
and enhance their effectiveness.
For over ten years, Ellen
has been a very popular Instructor at the Renaissance
Entrepreneurship Center in San Francisco;
and has also been a Marketing Communications
Expert with the Small Business Development
Center in San Francisco.
Originally a Native New Yorker,
Ellen chose to live and work in the San Francisco
Bay Area over twenty years ago because of her
love of nature and the outdoors. Most days,
she can be found hiking one of the many gorgeous
Bay Area trails with her beloved Black Lab,
Lily, and other good friends.
